Vania is a Peruvian-born songbird. It all started with Vania and her guitar. She was the 10-year-old girl who would use the living room as her stage to perform early 2000’s pop songs for her parents, though she didn’t speak a word of English. Over the years, she has found her sound inspired by the likes of Amy Winehouse, SZA, and Lianne La Havas. Vania combines lush vocal harmonies and crisp organic production to become a fresh new voice in Alternative R&B. In addition to being a vocalist, she’s a songwriter and producer, who is happiest when she’s collaborating with other artists and creating musical worlds to escape to. In 2019, she took home the Daytime Emmy Award for Best Original Song in a Drama Series.
